Stewart Property Management respects the privacy expectations of our customers and is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your personal information. How we collect, retain and use customer information in the conduct of our business is regulated by law. Our personal information handling practices are described below.  For the purposes of this policy, “customer” may be one of the following:

  • Applicant for Housing
  • Current or Former Resident
  • Owners of Housing with whom we have a contractual obligation with

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on our applications, verification forms and other  forms  that you submit to us
  • Information we receive from other landlords regarding your past tenancy, or during your tenancy with us
  • Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies, law enforcement agencies, and other registries.

The collection of this information is necessary to properly evaluate your application for admission to housing, and for us to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This collection may occur at various times while you have a relationship with us.

How We Protect Your Information

Keeping your personal and financial information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We value your trust and handle your information with care. Our employees access information about you when needed to maintain your accounts or otherwise meet your needs. We may also access information about you when exercising our rights under the law or any agreement with you.

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information. Our employees are trained to understand and comply with these information principles.

What Personal Information We Disclose

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law or as otherwise described in this disclosure.

To assist us in offering you services we may occasionally share nonpublic personal information with companies that provide services to us, such as credit reporting agencies. These companies act on our behalf and are obligated to keep the information that we provide to them confidential.

We do cooperate fully with Law Enforcement agencies and will provide them with information about you upon request.
